Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Avila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heng Keo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Keo has chosen Fear Factory - H-K (Hunter Killer) as his entrance music. Heng Keo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Tommy Avila! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Heng Keo! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Avila lands a high kick!
Keo goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Avila checks a leg kick. Keo on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Avila. Avila obviously looking to wear him down.
Avila misses with the body kick and Keo finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Avila chopping away at his opponent's legs.
A low kick from Keo misses and Avila counters with an inside leg kick. Keo misses with the body kick and Avila counters with a good low kick that Keo was not able to check.
That's one minute gone in the round. Avila avoids the head kick by Keo.
Keo throws a leg kick and Avila counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Avila throws a leg kick and Keo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A low kick from Keo misses and Avila counters with an outside leg kick.

Avila walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Avila thows a leg kick but Keo checks it and Keo counters with a left to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Avila takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. A low kick from Avila is predictable there and Keo counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. A nice leg kick lands there from Keo. Keo doesn't manage to clinch there - Avila circles away.
Keo misses with a leg kick and Avila counters with a flying knee. Nice. Avila throws a leg kick and Keo counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Avila is lucky that one didn't land flush. Avila throws a lazy head kick and Keo counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

and Keo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Avila scores with a leg kick.

That was a close round but I would say that Tommy Avila will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Avila throws a half hearted mid kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Keo steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Avila. Keo pushes Avila away with a front kick.

Keo misses with a leg kick and Avila counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Keo throws out a leg kick but Avila moves out of range and Keo only half commits. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Keo.
Avila pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Avila staying out of range there. Tommy Avila is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Keo delivers a nice body kick. Keo misses the jab. Keo walks forward, straight into a front kick from Avila. Keo throws a jab when Avila was well out of range. Avila throws a nice outside leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Avila moves out of range of the strikes. Keo sizes up Avila with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Avila bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Keo just misses with a punch to the body.
Avila pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Avila throws a nice outside leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Avila wants to slow Keo down by chopping away at his legs. Keo throws a quick inside leg kick. A jab lands there for Keo. Keo moves out of range of the body kick. Keo throws a lazy head kick and Avila counters with a nice low kick that buckles Keo's knee momentarily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Keo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tommy Avila dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Keo tries to clinch but Avila is having none of it. No luck for Keo with that takedown attempt. Keo takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Avila misses with a shot to the body and Keo counters with a nice uppercut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Keo throws a nice inside leg kick. A low kick from Avila is predictable there and Keo counters with a good low kick that Avila was not able to check.
That's one minute gone in the round. Keo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Avila tries to avoid it but Keo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Avila to the ground. Avila escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Keo shoots in for a takedown but Avila shows good takedown defense. Tommy Avila has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Heng Keo. Keo throws a lazy body kick and Avila counters with a thumping low kick. Avila looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Avila tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Keo moves out of range as Avila strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Keo moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Avila tries a head kick but it misses.
An inside leg kick from Keo misses. Avila is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Keo throws a lazy body kick and Avila counters with a nice low kick that buckles Keo's knee momentarily. Keo throws a wild body kick that Avila sees coming a mile off. Keo throws a leg kick but Avila sees it coming and moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Avila throws a leg kick that is checked and Keo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Keo gets off balance looking for a body kick and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Keo throws a leg kick and Avila counters with a head kick. Keo misses the shot to the body. Avila throws a leg kick that is checked and Keo counters with a right hand to the body. Tommy Avila is winning the standup battle so far. Avila misses with a lunging right hand
and Keo counters with a flying knee. Nice.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Avila loads up on a big right hand but Keo slips the punch. A low kick from Avila is predictable there and Keo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Keo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Avila but Avila pushes him off and we're back to square one. Good work by Avila as he checks the leg kick. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A low kick from Avila is predictable there and Keo counters with a solid body kick.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Heng Keo. Well Avila has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
