The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vetch has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Akiyama misses with a combination
and Akiyama takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Vetch wants to land a leg kick but Akiyama is out of range.
Akiyama swings for the body but Vetch moves out of range.

letting Akiyama counter with a right hand.

Vetch throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Akiyama's waist but Akiyama gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vetch off to one side.
Akiyama swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Vetch counters with a nice leg kick.

Akiyama throws a combination that misses
letting Vetch counter with a right hand.
Vetch shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Akiyama sprawls well. Akiyama wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vetch gets slowly back to his feet.

and Vetch counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Akiyama wanted to stand there but Vetch had control of the position.
Akiyama really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vetch. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Vetch pulls Akiyama in close to prevent any damage.
