Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominic Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis comes to the cage accompanied by Deftones - Beware. Harris has chosen Brotha Lynch Hung - That's What I Said as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mickey Davis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dominic Harris! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis throws a half hearted mid kick. Davis tries to clinch up and Harris cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Davis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Harris as he avoids it easily. Davis wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Davis throws out a loose jab but Harris uses good head movement to avoid it. Harris displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Davis throws out the jab. Davis wants to clinch and Harris counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Harris misses with a kick to the body and Davis counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Harris misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Davis counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Harris is lucky that one didn't land flush. Harris displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Davis. The fighters circling - Harris throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harris on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Harris misses the jab. Harris goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Davis takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Harris has taken the fight to the clinch.
Davis has hold of one of Harris's legs. Harris is fighting the takedown attempt but Davis gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Davis is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Davis is looking to work some ground and pound but Harris has wrist control. Davis wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving. Davis missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Harris has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Davis trying to control but Harris is working from the bottom. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Davis drops back, looking for a kneebar! Harris looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Harris looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Harris! Harris decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Harris counters with a leg kick. Nice jab there from Harris. Harris misses with a double jab
and Davis decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Harris's guard. Davis wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Davis looking to pass the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davis is working hard here to advance position. Davis thows a big elbow that misses. Davis wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving. Harris is adopting a defensive guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Davis won't allow Harris to get back to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jab from Davis. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mickey Davis will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Harris throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. The fight stays on the outside here - Davis looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Harris has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Harris defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Davis. Harris throws a low kick but Davis avoids it. Harris moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Davis scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Davis is pressing down on Harris's thigh, looking to free his foot. Harris is holding on for now. Davis thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Davis is looking to pass Harris's guard but actually Harris recovers to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harris wants to sweep here but Davis controlling him for the moment. Davis postures up in Harris's guard and throws a big left but Harris blocks it. Davis trying to control the position from guard on top but Harris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Davis with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Davisis looking to pass into half guard but Harris pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Harris is in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Davis being controlled here, momentarily. Harris stands up and waves to Davis to follow him. Harris misses with an uppercut
and Davis counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Davis. Davis wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving. Harris looking to hit a scissor sweep but Davis is one step ahead there. Davis throws a strike but Harris rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis pushes Harris off and gets back to his feet.
Davis tries to clinch up but Harris circles away and keeps his distance. Mickey Davis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Davis looks to land a body kick but Harris moved away. Harris slips a straight right by Davis. Harris misses with a wild body shot. Harris chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Davis shoots in looking for a takedown but Harris manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Davis's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Davis is looking to score with low kicks. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Harris lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Davis has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Davis and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Harris throws a lazy right hand but Davis sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Harris looks to score with a jab to the body but Davis is just out of range. Davis throws a right hand that misses
and Harris counters with a flying knee. Nice. Davis misses with a kick to the body and Harris counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Davis is rocked! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Harris batters Davis with a massive right followed by a huge left! Davis is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Harris lands a final crushing right hand to drop Davis to the mat with a gruesome thud! Harris is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Dominic Harris!
