Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cpjan Hammarstroem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Garrus Vakarian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Cpjan Hammarstroem has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Cpjan Hammarstroem seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vakarian throws a looping overhand right but Hammarstroem ducks down to avoid it.
Hammarstroem misses with a takedown
and Vakarian connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A big left from Vakarian misses.
Vakarian displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hammarstroem.
Hammarstroem tries to clinch
and Vakarian counters with a stiff right hand.
Hammarstroem shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vakarian's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hammarstroem wants to pass the guard but Vakarian is keeping the position.
Hammarstroem stops Vakarian from standing up.
Hammarstroem wants to control from the top but Vakarian keeps moving.
Vakarian wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Hammarstroem manages to pass to side control.
Hammarstroem is trying to control. Vakarian wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Hammarstroem wants to pass to mount but Vakarian is defending the position.
Hammarstroem is trying to control the action in half guard but Vakarian is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Vakarian is trying to stand.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vakarian can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hammarstroem seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Cpjan Hammarstroem has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Nice takedown defense from Vakarian. No joy for Hammarstroem on that attempt.

Hammarstroem throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Hammarstroem's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Vakarian connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hammarstroem scrambles back to his feet.
Vakarian connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Vakarian lands a big uppercut and Hammarstroem crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Hammarstroem looks OK. Vakarian waves Hammarstroem back to his feet!
Hammarstroem is rocked!
It looks like Cpjan Hammarstroem has been cut.
Vakarian wobbles Hammarstroem with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Vakarian dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Hammarstroem to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
