Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeremy Powers! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz closes the distance and pushes Powers back into the cage. Powers cracks Diaz with a nice body shot. A battle for position here, against the cage. Diaz goes for a takedown attempt but Powers pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Diaz misses with a wild combination.
Powers throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Diaz throws a left and a right that both miss
and Powers counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Powers loads up on a big right hand but Diaz slips the punch. Powers rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Diaz moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Powers's corner calls for a 1-2. Powers obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Diaz fails to land the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Powers breaks from the clinch.
Powers fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Diaz looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Nice uppercut lands for Powers. That snapped Diaz's head back.
Diaz shoots in for a double leg but Powers sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Powers fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Diaz, pushing him back against the cage. Powers just leaning against Diaz, taking a breather. Diaz fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Powers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Powers clinches. Diaz is leaning against Powers and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Powers.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz throws a head punch that misses. Powers lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Diaz wants to stall.
Diaz tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Powers's elbow. Diaz misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Diaz can't find room to land a body shot as Powers controls the action.
Diaz is trying to push Powers away but Powers has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Diaz drops down looking for an ankle pick but Powers pulls his leg out and moves away.
Diaz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Powers tries to avoid it but Diaz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Powers to the ground. Powers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Oooooh!!! Powers has knocked Diaz down with a huge combo! Powers steps away and waves a wobbly Diaz back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Diaz is rocked!
It looks like Jack Diaz has been cut. Diaz is breathing heavily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Diaz throws an off balance right hand
and Powers counters by clinching up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Powers lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Diaz. Powers lands a body shot. A short right from Powers on the inside. Diaz is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Powers is defending well for now. Powers throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Diaz is trying to break the clinch but Powers has him pressed against the cage. Powers holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Diaz is trying to drag Powers to the mat but Powers just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. A right hand to the body from Powers.
Diaz tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Powers's elbow. Diaz being controlled against the cage. Still in the clinch, Powers scores with a nice short uppercut. Powers lands with a short head shot on the inside. Diaz goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Diaz can't get the takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz misses with a short punch on the inside. Powers lands a nice uppercut. Diaz misses with a hook to the ribs.
Powers lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Diaz backwards. Powers scores with a hook to the body. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Powers. A short right hand to the side of the head by Powers. Powers digs a right hand underneath Diaz's ribcage. Diaz let out a lung full of air as it connected. Diaz misses with a punch on the inside.
Powers breaks the clinch.
Powers darts in and clinches Diaz up against the cage. Powers avoiding damage.
Powers lands a right hand that snaps the head of Diaz backwards. A hook to the body from Powers.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Diaz. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Powers breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Powers feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Diaz sprawling to the canvas! Diaz rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Powers finish him?!
Oh Diaz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Powers has taken the fight to the clinch.
Diaz seems to have got his legs back now. Diaz struggles to land a body shot inside as Powers controls his hands.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeremy Powers dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jack Diaz's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Powers gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Powers working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Powers throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Powers has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Diaz tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Powers just stands there and leans against the cage. Diaz wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Powers has him pressed against the cage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Powers takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Diaz can't break the clinch.
Powers gets through Diaz's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. A short uppercut from Powers. Diaz tries to work over Powers's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Diaz misses with a punch to the body.
Diaz tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Powers's elbow. Diaz wants a takedown but no success here.
Powers escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Powers with a body punch. A glancing blow. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Powers's jab looks to have found its range, popping Diaz under the eye. Powers misses the shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Powers drops Diaz with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Diaz looks back up at him and smiles so Powers waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Jeremy Powers seems to be getting the better of the standup. Powers scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Diaz doesn't seem bothered though. Powers has closed the distance and engaged Diaz in a clinch.
Powers scores with a nice hook to the head. Powers works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Powers is leaning against Diaz and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Powers scores with a shoulder strike. Diaz letting Powers take a breather here. Powers lands with a left to the head. Powers effectively controlling the action here. Powers lands a body shot. Powers's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Powers sends Diaz crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Powers is motioning to the referee to let Diaz up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Powers finds Diaz's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Diaz flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Powers lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Diaz will be OK.
