Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chay Willis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dog Gamma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Willis comes to the cage accompanied by As I Lay Dying - Through Struggle. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chay Willis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dog Gamma!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willis scores with a jab to the body.
Willis throws a big shot that misses.
Gamma fails with the takedown

so Willis counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Gamma is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Let's hope that Gamma has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Willis wants to control from the top but Gamma keeps moving.
Gamma wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dog Gamma was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Willis closes the distance and clinches up with Gamma, looking for a takedown. Willis pushes Gamma against the cage but Gamma circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Willis throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Gamma counters with a takedown into side control.
Gamma misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
You can see the frustration on Willis's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Willis manages to work his way to half guard, despite Gamma's best efforts.

Willis trying to hold on to Gamma's head to control him but Gamma postures up.
Gamma is just content to waste time from the top position. Willis takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Willis is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gamma is aware though and is defending well.

Gamma loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Willis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gamma gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gamma's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Willis dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Chay Willis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gamma uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Willis.
Willis misses with a body shot.
Willis with a poor takedown

and Gamma counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Willis!
Willis tries to hold on but Gamma pushes him away.
Willis is looking to improve his position but Gamma isn't that keen on the idea.

Gamma thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Willis's head.

Dog Gamma showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Willis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Gamma wants to clinch up but Willis keeps it at a distance.
Willis misses with a body shot.

Gamma doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Gamma tries to clinch there but Willis circles away.
Willis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Willis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Willis takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Gamma tries to clinch but Willis is having none of it.
Willis throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gamma sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Dog Gamma is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Willis is looking for a triangle but Gamma pushes his legs off easily.

Willis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gamma can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gamma postures up in Willis's guard and throws a big left but Willis blocks it.

Gamma seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dog Gamma hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Gamma doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Willis counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Willis postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Chay Willis showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Gamma has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
