Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Fletcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sid Ney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sid Ney! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ney fails in his attempt to clinch. Ney showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Fletcher.
Ney stuffs the takedown attempt from Fletcher. Fletcher gets slowly back to his feet. Fletcher shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Fletcher showed some decent athleticism there. Fletcher not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ney wants to get back to full guard. Fletcher moves into full mount! Ney won't be happy about that! Ney regains half guard. Fletcher missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ney is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Fletcher scores with a couple of nice shots. Horrible takedown by Fletcher or perhaps it was just good defense by Ney which made him look bad. Excellent takedown into side control there by Fletcher. Fletcher tries to move to full mount but Ney actually manages to regain half guard. Fletcher looks to score some points with some ground and pound. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Fletcher connects with a nice short shot to Ney's temple. Fletcher thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ney's head. Fletcher takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Fletcher decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Steve Fletcher is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ney shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Fletcher regains half guard. Ney tries to stand but can't do so whilst Fletcher controls his leg. Fletcher on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fletcher tries to get out of the position. Fletcher is pressing down on Ney's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fletcher is on top in guard.
Fletcher postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Fletcher tries to free his leg and advance position but Ney is retaining full guard. Fletcher chips away with some ground and pound. Ney is breathing heavily. Fletcher postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Fletcher stands up and waves to Ney to follow him. Ney gets caught flat footed, as Fletcher shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Fletcher content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Fletcher working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Ney is working an open guard so Fletcher takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Fletcher throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Fletcher throws a combination that misses and Ney makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Fletcher really felt that one! Fletcher fails to land with a series of punches.

Fletcher misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Ney tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Fletcher looks to land a combination but Ney avoids it well. Fletcher decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Fletcher stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Fletcher lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Ney is rocked!
It looks like Sid Ney has been cut. BOOM! Fletcher lands a beautiful left hook that drops Ney. Ney tries to recover but Fletcher is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Ney lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
