Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Huey Winner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Winner's choice of entrance music: It's time for war. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson has his takedown stuffed
and Winner counters with a three punch combo that has Patterson backing up. Patterson nods at Winner to acknowledge the strikes.
Winner looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Winner closes the distance and clinches.
Winner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Patterson misses with a takedown attempt
and Winner counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Patterson really is a fat lump.
Winner closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Winner has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Patterson is trying to keep an underhook but Winner manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Winner is looking to take a break and control but Patterson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
