Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Scott Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marshall Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scott Summers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marshall Mason! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Kavanagh and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mason looks to clinch and Summers counters with a nice uppercut. Summers shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mason is trying to defend but Summers finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Summers is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mason defends it well. Summers wants to pass to mount but Mason is defending the position. Mason is pressing down on Summers's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Mason wants to stand up but Summers is controlling him. Mason looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Summers is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mason bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Summers's guard. Mason trying to stand up but can't free himself from Summers's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mason stopping the sweep attempt from Summers. Mason is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Summers lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Mason! Mason wants to try and get back to his feet. Summers is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Mason has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Summers controlling the position easily from mount. Summers prevents Mason from getting the reversal.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Mason holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Summers tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Mason is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Mason wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Summers.
Mason sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Mason looks like he's trying to stand up.
Mason is trying to control but can't.
Summers trying to mount his opponent but Mason defends it. Mason holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Summers sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Mason defending well though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mason tries to kick Summers off but Summers keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Summers is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Summers prevents Mason from getting back to his feet. Mason has Summers pulled in close to control his posture. Mason keeping full guard, as Summers tries to pass. Mason lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Summers! Mason has isolated one of Summers's arms. Summers looking to fight him off but Mason twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
