Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miladin Kovacevic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximus Meridius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kovacevic comes to the cage accompanied by Rocknrolla'. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meridius lands a big right hand that sends Kovacevic crashing to the mat! Meridius stays standing though and waves Kovacevic back to his feet!
Kovacevic is rocked!
It looks like Miladin Kovacevic has been cut.

Kovacevic lands a nice looking kick to the body. Meridius takes a step back to recover.
Meridius pushes Kovacevic up against the cage in a clinch.
Meridius is trying to push Kovacevic away but Kovacevic has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Meridius is struggling to control the position.
Kovacevic throws a punch but it's blocked by Meridius.
Meridius breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Meridius takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Meridius looks gassed!

Meridius falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kovacevic finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Crunch! Kovacevic slams his shin into Meridius's torso.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kovacevic throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Meridius stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Kovacevic follows into mount!
Meridius is rocked!
It looks like Maximus Meridius has been cut.
Kovacevic looking to ground and pound but Meridius is blocking nicely.
Kovacevic misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Meridius is still in real trouble! Can Kovacevic finish him?
Meridius avoids a series of strikes thrown by Kovacevic.
Meridius seems to have recovered his senses.
The referee warns Meridius that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Kovacevic postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Meridius in real trouble here! The ref calls for Meridius to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
