Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Akari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Ripley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ripley is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Talented Mr. Ripley - Tu Vuo' Fa l'Americano . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ripley shoots in and gets a takedown into Akari's guard.
Ripley trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Ripley stands and steps away. Akari gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Ripley is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ripley looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ripley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Akari moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ripley misses with a few strikes there.

and Ripley counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ripley.

Akari drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ripley looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ripley looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ripley!

Akari tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ripley wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Akari sneaks out the side door and pushes Ripley away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Ripley closes the distance and pushes Akari back into the cage.

Ripley has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Akari clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Ripley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Akari doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Akari manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Akari has gone for a leg lock! Ripley slips out almost immediately though and dives into Akari's guard.

and Akari counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Akari drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ripley dives on top into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mr Ripley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Mr Ripley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ripley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
