Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Burbank Bulldog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kompakt Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bulldog's entrance music is British Bulldog. A fine choice. Gracie comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Gracie Family Entrada kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Kompakt Gracie struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Burbank Bulldog! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kompakt Gracie! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bulldog takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Gracie gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bulldog to score an easy takedown into full guard. Gracie working a defensive guard here.
Bulldog is looking to work some ground and pound but Gracie has wrist control. Bulldog wanted to stand there but Gracie had control of the position. Gracie keeping moving, preventing Bulldog from controlling successfully. Gracie is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Gracie not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Bulldog got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bulldog has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bulldog thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Bulldog might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Bulldog trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bulldog lands a couple of elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bulldog is working Gracie over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Gracie is looking for a triangle but Bulldog pushes his legs off easily.

Gracie looks gassed! Bulldog is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gracie is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gracie has escaped and now he's on top! Gracie has gone for a leg lock! Bulldog slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gracie's guard. Bulldog works over Gracie with some ground and pound from guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bulldog makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Bulldog wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving. Gracie striking off his back but it's not causing Bulldog any problems. Bulldog decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Bulldog avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bulldog has managed to clinch.
Bulldog manages to break the clinch.
Bulldog thumps Gracie with a low kick. Bulldog dips down and scores with a jab to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Bulldog scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Bulldog thumps Gracie with a low kick. Bulldog darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Gracie wants to get back to full guard but Bulldog has passed into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bulldog wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working. Bulldog is working to tighten is grip on Gracie's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Gracie has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Bulldog is really squeezing tight and eventually Gracie passes out! Bulldog breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
