Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Maelo Paulo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crash Bandicoot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bandicoot has chosen Crash Bandicoot: Jungle Rollers Remix as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Maelo Paulo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Crash Bandicoot!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bandicoot closes the distance and clinches.
Paulo has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bandicoot is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Bandicoot is pressed up against the cage. Paulo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bandicoot down to the mat. Bandicoot avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Paulo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Paulo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bandicoot defends well.

Paulo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bandicoot doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bandicoot manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bandicoot is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Bandicoot drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bandicoot jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Paulo is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Bandicoot has his hands clasped together but Paulo extends an breaks Bandicoot's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Paulo.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Maelo Paulo!
