The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakurai tries a head kick but it misses.

Draper looks to land a left hand but Sakurai moved out of range nicely.

Sakurai is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Draper.

Don Draper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Sakurai connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Draper takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Sakurai counters with a thumping low kick.
Draper is breathing heavily.

and Sakurai counters with an outside leg kick.
Draper avoids the head kick by Sakurai.
Sakurai fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Sakurai stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Sakurai is looking to slow Draper down with leg kicks.

Sakurai lets loose with a powerful body kick. Draper will feel that in the morning.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Sakurai and Draper goes tumbling to the canvas! Sakurai follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Draper won't allow Sakurai to pass to mount.

Sakurai wants to lay and pray for a moment but Draper keeps working.
Draper seems to have got his legs back now.
Sakurai trying to pass the guard but Draper defending well.
Sakurai is stalling here. Draper is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Sakurai seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Draper has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

A bit of a lull in the action here.
Draper working the strikes but Sakurai uses the opportunity to regain half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Hiro Sakurai was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Sakurai throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Draper looks to land a right hand but Sakurai moved out of range.
Sakurai motions for Draper to come forward. Sakurai throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Sakurai connects with a leg kick. Draper looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Sakurai is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Draper had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Draper shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Sakurai cracks Draper with a right hand to the side of the head.
Sakurai drops Draper with a naaaaasty hook - Draper is in real trouble here! Sakurai dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
