The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beastly throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Maxwell's waist but Maxwell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Beastly off to one side.

Beastly closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Maxwell quickly recovers to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maxwell is not content to let Beastly control the position.

Maxwell parries the strikes from Beastly easily there. Beastly is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Maxwell to escape.
Maxwell tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Beastly wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The referee asks Beastly politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Beastly prefers to stall for the moment though.

Beastly has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Maxwell!

Beastly is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Maxwell to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Maxwell shrugs it off.

It looks like Ross Maxwell has been cut.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Beastly is defended easily by Maxwell.
Beastly Rushes Maxwell and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Maxwell is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Beastly Piles on the pressure and Maxwell crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
