Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bad Idea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Gass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Idea's entrance music is Boss of All Bosses . A fine choice. Kyle Gass is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bad Idea! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Gass! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Idea throws a combination that misses and Gass counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Idea thuds his right hand into Gass's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Gass lands a leg kick that knocks Idea off balance momentarily. Gass tries a low kick but Idea avoids it. Idea misses the body punch and Gass counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Gass tries to score a power double leg takedown but Idea sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gass somewhat. Gass throws out a powerful jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Idea throws a right hand that misses
and Gass counters with a slapping leg kick. Gass throws a sloppy head kick and Idea moves out of range easily. Gass gets in close and instigates a clinch. A bit of stalling here from Idea.
Gass wants to break the clinch but can't.
Gass's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A low kick from Idea misses and Gass counters with a good low kick that Idea was not able to check. Gass clinches with his opponent.
Gass wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gass wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Idea can't find room to land a body shot as Gass controls the action.

Idea misses with a hook from the clinch. A battle for position here, against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gass manages to break the clinch.
Idea throws a predictable looking body shot
and Gass counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Gass moves into the clinch. Idea has Gass pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Gass manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Idea. Idea taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Gass breaks the clinch.
Gass fails with the takedown. Gass misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Idea throws a sloppy body shot
and Gass decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Idea's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gass decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Idea, up you get! Gass takes the fight into the clinch. Gass pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Gass manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Idea has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Idea stays in close to Gass's body and controls the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Idea trying to control the position from guard on top but Gass is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gass wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bad Idea. Gass thows a body shot but no joy. Idea misses with a body shot
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gass. Bad Idea has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyle Gass. Gass looks for a takedown but Idea sprawls well. Idea throws a poor cross that misses
and Gass counters with a head kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kyle Gass dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Idea wants to slow Gass down by chopping away at his legs. Idea falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gass counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Idea tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Idea misses with a body shot
and Gass counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Idea throws a lazy uppercut
and Gass counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Idea misses with a left hand and Gass counters with a lovely shot to the body. Idea throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Gass counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Idea thinking.
That's one minute gone in the round. Idea feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gasss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Gass gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. The referee is keeping an eye on Idea - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Gass is trying hard to land a takedown here. Idea sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Idea misses with a leg kick and Gass counters with a good low kick that Idea was not able to check. Idea throws a sloppy body shot
and Gass counters with a nice leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gass throws a series of punches but Idea avoids them all with ease. Gass misses with the combination.
Idea falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gass counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gass. Gass gets to his feet. Idea looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! The fight moves into the clinch position. Gass slowing the pace effectively.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Idea tries to throw a body punch but Gass avoids it by throwing Idea back against the cage. Idea wants a takedown.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Idea for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Idea has Gass pressed against the cage, preventing Gass from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Idea misses with a hook to the ribs.
Gass breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gass throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Idea gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Idea is pulling down on Gass's head. It's preventing any offense from Gass, at least for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Idea controls Gass momentarily but Gass frees himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gass would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Idea tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Idea throws a predictable looking body shot
and Gass counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Idea avoids a low kick by using good footwork. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kyle Gass showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

and Idea counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Idea misses the body punch and Gass makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Idea misses the body punch and Gass counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Idea's guard now.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Idea is working an open guard so Gass takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. A slow jab from Gass misses its intended target. Idea misses with a combination
and Gass counters with a flying knee. Nice. Idea slips a jab and a cross from Gass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Idea swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Gass counters with a nice body shot. A shot to the body from Idea misses and Gass counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Gass connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Gass misses with a low kick.
Idea takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Idea tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gass paws at him with a jab and circles away. Gass tries a head kick but it misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Idea tries for a takedown but Gass sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Gass lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Idea throws a leg kick and Gass counters with a right hand to the body. Idea lands with a shot to the body. Idea misses with a leg kick and Idea takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Idea is looking to wear down Gass with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Gass throws a quick inside leg kick. Idea throws a predictable looking body shot
so Gass counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gass is looking to stand up but Idea won't let him. Idea trying to keep a closed guard but Gass is proving a slippery customer.
Idea wants to sweep but no luck. Idea is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Idea is working an open guard so Gass takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Gass fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Gass shoots in and bounces Idea off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gass trying to stand up but can't free himself from Idea's guard. Gass preventing the sweep. Gass is looking to stand up but Idea won't let him. Kyle Gass has got the better of the ground game so far. Idea looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Bad Idea has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Idea is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kyle Gass is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Idea wants to sweep but no luck.
And that's the end of the fight! Kyle Gass comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Gass has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
