Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maimuta Prunea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Hammonok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hammonok's choice of entrance music: Dreams. Pete Hammonok has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prunea gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hammonok pushes down on Prunea's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Hammonok is working for a submission of some sort.
Hammonok slips a nice elbow through Prunea's hands, connecting with Prunea's forehead.

Prunea pushes Hammonok off looking to stand but Hammonok dives back in and keeps control.

Hammonok is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Prunea is just riding it out for now. Hammonok eventually gives up the hold.

and Prunea counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

and Hammonok counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hammonok tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Prunea throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close second round but I would say that Maimuta Prunea will probably get the nod.

Prunea goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Hammonok turns into him and now he's in Prunea's guard.

Prunea is stalling here. Hammonok is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Prunea seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hammonok has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
