Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takamura misses with a combination
and Hultquist cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Takamura is defended easily by Hultquist.
Takamura tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Takamura looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Takamura thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hultquist's head.

Takamura is nestled in close to Hultquist, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Takamura thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Hultquist to regain full guard.

Hultquist cracks Takamura with a right hand to the side of the head.

and Hultquist counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Takamura looks gassed!
Hultquist scores with a one two! Takamura had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Mamoru Takamura has been cut.
Takamura gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hultquist counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hultquist throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Takamura stumbling backwards into the cage! Takamura bounces back off the cage towards Hultquist, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Hultquist lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Hultquist celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Ohiru Hultquist!
