Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stevie Gee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marlin McCann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stevie Gee had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Stevie Gee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Marlin McCann! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gee throws a series of punches but McCann moves out of range. McCann stuffs the takedown attempt from Gee. Gee gets slowly back to his feet. McCann misses with a left hand and Gee cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. McCann throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gee. Gee shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McCann defends it nicely. McCann tries to clinch but Gee moves away and Gee counters by moving into the clinch. Gee is trying to push McCann away but McCann has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. McCann is trying to break the clinch but Gee has him pressed against the cage. McCann is looking to break free of the clinch but Gee has double underhooks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gee is trying to break the clinch but McCann is controlling him. Gee working hard to break the clinch. McCann escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gee uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. McCann throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Gee tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. McCann lands a slapping body shot.
Gee shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gee was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Gee lands a big shot there that rocks McCann but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gee avoids the attempt from McCann to control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McCann can do anything to dispel that myth. Gee thowing shots but they're missing. Gee sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Gee dominating with strikes here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gee throws some wild stikes that McCann manages to avoid easily.
Gee can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McCann is looking to escape. Gee content just to control the position here. Gee throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for McCann because Gee loaded up on that one. Gee throwing strikes here but McCann is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Gee looking to control but McCann is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Gee thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Stevie Gee dominated that round. That's time! Gee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
McCann shoots in and drives through. Gee sprawls well. McCann tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gee paws at him with a jab and circles away. Gee tries for a takedown but McCann circles away easily and McCann cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Gee moves away from the strike by McCann. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gee. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McCann misses with a right hand and Gee counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. No luck for McCann with that takedown attempt. McCann shoots for a double leg takedown but Gee sprawls well. He's pushed McCann's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Stevie Gee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marlin McCann.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCann walks into a jab. McCann misses with an uppercut
and Gee counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Gee throwing shots but McCann is blocking nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McCann is not content to let Gee control the position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Gee missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Gee is trying to control the action in half guard but McCann is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Gee throws a strike but McCann avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gee trying to control the position from guard on top but McCann is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gee is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Stevie Gee has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. A lazy body kick from McCann and Gee counters with a straight right hand. McCann misses with a double jab
and Gee counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. McCann wants to sweep but no luck. Gee looking to pass the guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gee wants to control from the top but McCann keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gee sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McCann's guard. Gee trying to control from McCann's half guard. McCann has other ideas though and has regained full guard. McCann looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Gee puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Gee takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. McCann is trying to stand back up but Gee is controlling him
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Gee wants to free his trapped foot but McCann is holding on for dear life with his legs. Gee lands strikes from half guard. Gee wants to control but McCann is keeping him busy. Gee is thwarting McCann's attempts to control the position. McCann avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gee. McCann is refusing to be controlled, as Gee sits in half guard. Gee looks to land a strike but McCann avoids it nicely and regains full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stevie Gee dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
McCann throws a lazy uppercut
and Gee counters with a nice low kick that buckles McCann's knee momentarily. McCann takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Gee throws a predictable looking body shot
and McCann cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Gee circles away from the clinch attempt.
McCann throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gee counters with a head kick. Gee punishes McCann's body with a nice straight punch. McCann throws a hook but Gee avoids it easily. Nice defenses there by Gee. McCann misses with a takedown and Gee counters with a nice uppercut. McCann takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. A punch combination from Gee misses. McCann misses with a right hand and Gee counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Gee seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McCann does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Gee sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. McCann defending well though. Gee stalling away here and it's allowed McCann to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Gee trying to control but McCann is working from the bottom. Gee is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because McCann is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gee tries to free his leg and advance position but McCann is retaining full guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Gee looking to sit in guard and control but McCann gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. McCann wants to get up but he can't break Gee's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Stevie Gee just wasn't active enough. McCann tries to clinch but fails miserably and Gee decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in McCann's guard. McCann can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gee controls the pace. Gee trying to control the position from guard on top but McCann is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McCann is looking to stand up but Gee isn't so interested in that idea. McCann is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Gee trying to control the position from guard on top but McCann is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We're going to have a standup here because Stevie Gee wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Gee moves away from the strike by McCann. Stevie Gee is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. McCann connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Gee's hands. McCann takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
McCann fails with a takedown attempt. McCann throws a lazy right hand but Gee sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Stevie Gee showed his dominance in that final round. Well Gee has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
