Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hercules Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hogan has chosen The Faint - The Geeks Were Right as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hercules Gomez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Hogan! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Steve Montenegro and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gomez shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Gomez trying to control the pace. Gomez's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Gomez is looking for a kimura but Hogan is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gomez to get the leverage. Hogan wants to control but Gomez is keeping busy.
Hogan regains full guard. Nicely done. Hogan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hogan looks gassed! Gomez is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Gomez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gomez trying to control but Hogan is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gomez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
We're going to have a standup here because Hercules Gomez wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Gomez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hogan was covering up waiting for the punch and Gomez finishes the takedown easily into guard. Gomez's corner is telling him to maintain position. Gomez advances position into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hogan parries the strikes from Gomez easily there. Gomez is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hogan to escape.
Hogan trying his best to control but Gomez has mounted him. Gomez is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hogan can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gomez is landing with some decent strikes but Hogan is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Gomez is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hogan is surviving well by controlling Gomez's body position as best he can. Gomez controlling from the full mount. That's four minutes gone in the round. Gomez has hold of Hogan's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hogan manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Hercules Gomez dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Gomez trying to control from half guard but Hogan is working away. Gomez slips a nice elbow through Hogan's hands, connecting with Hogan's forehead. Hogan avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gomez. Gomez is working for a submission of some sort.

Hogan is breathing heavily. Hogan is defending against the submission attempts here by Gomez.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Gomez is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Hogan is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
