Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mag Ne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ne might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Blå and Black - Nephew. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mag Ne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Travis Riley! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riley throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Riley throws a hook to the side of Ne's head but Ne sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ne lands with an overhand left. Ne throws an off balance right hand
and Riley counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ne's guard now. Ne wants to sweep here but Riley controlling him for the moment. Riley missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Riley missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Riley postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Riley trying to control the position from guard on top but Ne is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Riley scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Riley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ne knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Riley on the ground. Riley works a leg free and moves into half guard. Riley missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Riley is looking to advance position but Ne won't allow it. Riley has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ne is looking to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ne is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Riley is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Ne reverses the position - he's now on top in Riley's guard. Ne is fighting to break Riley's control of his arms but Riley is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Let's hope that Riley has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Travis Riley hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Nice jab there from Riley. Travis Riley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ne stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ne wants it to stay on the feet. Riley tries for a takedown but Ne sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Riley falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ne counters with a nice uppercut. Ne takes a swing at Riley's ribcage but misses. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Ne steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Riley. A punch lands to the side of Riley 's head but he takes it in his stride. Riley dives in and scores a takedown into Ne's guard. Riley trying to control but Ne is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Travis Riley dominated that round. That's time! Ne's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A looping hook to the body misses from Riley. Ne does a little dance to reset his feet. Ne takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Riley tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ne was well out of range. Poor timing from Riley. Riley lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ne circles away quickly and effectively. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Riley, as that shot connected.

That's one minute gone in the round. Riley shoots for a takedown but Ne saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Riley misses with a head kick.

and Riley counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Riley lands with a shot to the body. Riley connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Ne throws a combination that misses and Riley counters with a straight right hand. No joy there for Riley, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Riley darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Riley is nestled in close to Ne, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Riley works his way into side control. Ne on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ne tries to get out of the position. Riley is looking to take a break and control but Ne is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Riley scoring with punches from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Riley working the ground and pound but Ne is defending the strikes. Riley is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Ne's shoulder. That is not cool. Riley is chipping away with strikes.
Ne parries the strikes from Riley easily there. Riley is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Ne to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ne seems a little lost for a moment, as Riley dominates the positioning. Ne is looking for a sweep. Riley connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Ne some visible discomfort.
Riley wants to control but Ne is keeping him busy. Ne managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Riley.

Riley lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Ne down.

Travis Riley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

and Ne counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Mag Ne is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Riley throws an overhand right that lands on Ne's shoulder, as Ne tries to avoid the shot. Riley throws a jab but it's blocked by Ne. Riley has Ne pushed against the cage. Ne throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Riley blocks a body shot from Ne. Riley lands with a light punch inside. Ne lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Travis Riley is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Riley has clasped his hands together around Ne's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ne taking punishment in the form of punches.
Riley thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Riley lands a decent elbow from side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Riley's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Riley creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Ne sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Riley is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Ne will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Riley throws an elbow but Ne slips to the side and avoids it well. Riley throwing strikes but missing, from side control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Riley creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Ne sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Riley taking a breather here.
And that's the end of the fight! Travis Riley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Riley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
