The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halperin misses with a wild combination.
Halperin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Griffin slips a jab and a cross from Halperin.

Griffin tries to bum rush Halperin with a series of wild strikes but Halperin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Griffin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Halperin pushes Griffin off looking to stand but Griffin dives back in and keeps control.
Griffin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Halperin doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Griffin.
Halperin is looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Griffin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Griffin not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Griffin seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Halperin is holding on tight.

Griffin looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Halperin tries to buck Griffin off but he can't manage it.
