Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Good Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chucho Benitez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Day comes to the cage accompanied by Hifana - Wamono. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Day takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Benitez shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Benitez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Benitez scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Day takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Benitez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Day.
Benitez looks to land a left hand but Day moved out of range nicely. A low kick from Day is predictable there and Benitez counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Benitez is keen to just control but Day is a slippery customer. Benitez looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Day wants to control but Benitez is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Day works his way to full guard. Good work. Day wants to stand but Benitez is controlling the position. Benitez showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Day keeping moving, preventing Benitez from controlling successfully.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Chucho Benitez hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Benitez throws a shot from downtown. Day moves away and avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Day avoids the body shot from Benitez.
Day is looking to clinch. A kick lands to the mid section there for Benitez. Day takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Day throws a predictable looking body shot
and Benitez counters with an outside leg kick.
A low kick from Benitez misses and Day counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. A solid leg kick lands there for Benitez.
Benitez connects with a looping right hand.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Day, as that shot connected.
Benitez lands the left hand. Benitez throws a solid leg kick but Day takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Benitez. A low kick from Day misses and Benitez counters with a nice body shot. Benitez fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Day. Day swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A slapping leg kick lands for Benitez.
Benitez shoots in and bounces Day off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Benitez's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Benitez slips nicely into half guard. Benitez thows a huge punch but Day dodges it nicely.
Day is trying to get back to full guard. Day is defending against the submission attempts here by Benitez.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Benitez trying to control the pace. Day is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Day is not content to let Benitez control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chucho Benitez dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Benitez shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Day eats them both and turns towards Benitez to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Day, right into the meat.
Day fails in his attempt to clinch. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Benitez checks a leg kick. Benitez scores a takedown into full mount! Benitez looking to finish Day with some ground and pound. This is bad for Day! Benitez punching from mount but Day doing a good job of avoiding damage. Day wants to control but Benitez is having none of it. Day is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Benitez wants to control the pace but Day is squirming around nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Benitez has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Day's face.
BOOM! Benitez connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Day is squirming around, avoiding Benitez's attempts to control the action. A nice elbow there by Benitez. Day really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Day is bucking up trying to escape but Benitez cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Day is squirming around, avoiding Benitez's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Day tries to hold on but Benitez pushes him away. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Benitez controlling the position easily from mount. Day is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Day gets back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Benitez is keen to just control but Day is a slippery customer. Day is trying is best to control the position here. Day is staying active underneath Benitez, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Day is looking to improve his position.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Chucho Benitez. Day cracks Benitez with an open hand slap. Benitez misses with a takedown attempt - Day sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Benitez defending well as Day loads up on a big left hand. Benitez throws a hook but Day avoids it easily. Horrible takedown by Day or perhaps it was just good defense by Benitez which made him look bad. Benitez lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Benitez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Benitez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Benitez thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Day if he has to take too many more of those.
Benitez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Day manages to avoid it. Day throws a low kick, looking for Benitez's leg but Benitez calmly moves out of range. Benitez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Day but Day pushes him off and we're back to square one. Good Day has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chucho Benitez. Day misses the shot to the body. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Benitez shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Benitez showed some decent athleticism there. Day trying to hold on to Benitez's head to control him but Benitez postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chucho Benitez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Benitez checks a low kick from Day. Benitez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Day was well out of range. Poor timing from Benitez. Benitez jabs Day right on the nose. Day blinks but takes it well. Benitez lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Benitez lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Day has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Day and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Day dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Benitez dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Day. That did some damage! Day thuds a left hand into Benitez's body. Benitez tries to keep at a distance but Day has taken the fight into the clinch. Day throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Benitez blocks it with crossed arms. Benitez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Chucho Benitez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Left hook, right uppercut from Day.
That's one minute gone in the round. Day thows a body shot but no joy. Benitez throws a low kick but Day moves out of range easily. Day tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Benitez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Day's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Benitez connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Day scrambles back to his feet. Benitez misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Day counters with a one-two to the body. Benitez misses with a right hand and Day counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A decent looking cross lands there for Benitez. Benitez misses with a lunging right hand
and Day cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Day punishes Benitez's body with a nice straight punch. Day looks to score with a jab to the body but Benitez is just out of range. Day thows a body shot but no joy. Benitez throws a leg kick that is checked and Day counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Benitez misses with an uppercut. Good Day has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Benitez.
Benitez moves into range and connects with a jab. Day fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Benitez, pushing him back against the cage. Day lands a hook that snaps the head of Benitez backwards. Day just leaning against Benitez, taking a breather. Benitez takes an elbow to the temple. Day looking to slow down the pace here. Benitez tries to pull guard but Day holds him up against the cage and eventually Benitez drops back down to his feet.
Day connects with a nasty looking knee right to Benitez's face.
Benitez is trying to push Day away but Day has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Day trying to land knees to the body.
Day is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Benitez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Benitez takes an elbow to the forehead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Day. Benitez works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Day tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Day looks to throw an elbow but misses. Day lands an elbow inside. Day is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Day misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Benitez.
Day tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Benitez avoids it. Day misses with a short punch on the inside. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Day obliges. Benitez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Day walks away with a smile on his face. Benitez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Benitez avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Day fails to land with a series of punches.
Day throws the kick towards the body but Benitez avoids it. Benitez throws a push kick but Day slaps the foot to one side. Day walks forward, straight into a front kick from Benitez.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Benitez with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Day throws a leg kick that is checked and Benitez counters with a straight right hand. Day ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Benitez moves away. Day stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Benitez. Benitez works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Day connects with a body shot. Day takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Benitez lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Chucho Benitez is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Day is looking to wear down Benitez with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Day takes a swing at Benitez's ribcage but misses. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Benitez lands an overhand right. Benitez blocks a head kick by Day.
Benitez will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
And that's the end of the fight! Good Day showed his dominance in that final round. I think Benitez has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
