The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mababa wants to clinch.
Bera ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Bera fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mababa sprawls well initially but Bera persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Mababa keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Bera thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Mababa tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Bera manages to move to mount!
The referee warns Mababa that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bera postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Mababa badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Bera around the waist but Bera pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Bera is the winner by TKO! Bera jumps onto the ropes and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Matt Bera!
