Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edward Charles Brock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vlad Tepez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tepez has chosen Ministry - NWO as his entrance music. Tepez has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Vlad Tepez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edward Charles Brock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vlad Tepez! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jorge Garcia and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brock shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tepez but Tepez pushes him off and we're back to square one. Brock has his takedown stuffed and Tepez counters with a flying knee. Nice. Tepez thows a left - swing and a miss! Tepez gets caught flat footed, as Brock shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Brock trying to control the position from guard on top but Tepez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tepez looks gassed! Brock stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tepez swivels though and keeps the full guard. Brock trying to control but Tepez is working from the bottom. Brock wants to pass the guard but Tepez is keeping the position. Brock keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Tepez's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brock drops back looking for a leg! Tepez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tepez manages to kick Brock off! Brock jumps back into Tepez's guard. Brock pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tepez is keeping the position for now. Brock thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Brock drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Tepez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Brock has Tepez in his guard. Tepez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Tepez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brock has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tepez has managed to get both his arms back between Brock's legs - danger averted.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Brock escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tepez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Brock looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Brock has his foot on Tepez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tepez works his way back into a safe position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
