The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingsford avoids a punch combination nicely.
Angel Ii throws a head kick but Kingsford moves out of range.
Kingsford has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Angel Ii.
Kingsford sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Kingsford looks gassed!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Angel Ii misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Angel Ii lands with a thumping leg kick.
Angel Ii tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Angel Ii thumps Kingsford with a low kick.
Markus Angel Ii seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A head kick lands from Angel Ii that sends Kingsford to the canvas. Kingsford tries to scramble back to his feet but Angel Ii brings him back down into side control.

It looks like Cletis Kingsford has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Angel Ii has hold of Kingsford's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Kingsford tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Angel Ii cranks the arm and Kingsford screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Kingsford, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
