Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crisostomo Ibarra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douglas Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Crisostomo Ibarra! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ibarra swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Brown counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ibarra's guard now. Brown trying to control but Ibarra is working from the bottom. Ibarra throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Brown drops back looking for a leg! Ibarra is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ibarra manages to kick Brown off! Brown jumps back into Ibarra's guard. Ibarra looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Brown has picked Ibarra up and slammed him! Ibarra can't keep hold of the triangle and Brown manages to pass to side control! Brown tries to advance to mount but can't. Brown working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ibarra tries to bench press Brown off him but Brown keeps the position. Brown staying calm. Brown trying to control the action but Ibarra is working from the bottom.

It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Ibarra is trying to get back to half guard. Brown staying calm. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Brown tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Brown is staying tight to Ibarra's torso, preventing him from escaping. Ibarra regains half guard. Brown trying to control the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ibarra tries to hold on but Brown postures up. Brown connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

and Brown counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ibarra! This has been an exciting period of action! Ibarra tries to hold on but Brown postures up. Brown takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
