The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunter misses with a takedown
and Gunter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cranzinski lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Gunter has his takedown stuffed
and Cranzinski finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Gunter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cranzinski moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gunter. Cranzinski does a little dance to reset his feet.

Cranzinski goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

It looks like Trevor Gunter has been cut.

and Gunter counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Cranzinski!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Gunter jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Cranzinski is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Cranzinski and Gunter has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Gunter goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Cranzinski has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gunter but great work by Cranzinski.
