Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Peterman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boba Mininkoph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, David Peterman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boba Mininkoph! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Dmitry Maklakov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peterman gets caught napping as Mininkoph dives in and scores a takedown. Peterman manages to retain guard. Mininkoph not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Peterman looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mininkoph working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Mininkoph stays in close to Peterman's body and controls the position. Mininkoph pushing down on Peterman's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Mininkoph takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Mininkoph is controlling the pace.
Mininkoph is nestled in close to Peterman, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mininkoph looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Peterman with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Mininkoph has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Peterman punching from the bottom.
Well, if Mininkoph is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Mininkoph prevents Peterman from improving his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mininkoph landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Mininkoph winds up and cracks Peterman with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Peterman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mininkoph on the ground. Mininkoph passes the guard and advances to mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Peterman is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mininkoph pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Mininkoph sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Peterman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Peterman is breathing heavily. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Mininkoph has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Boba Mininkoph. Peterman throws a head kick that misses. Peterman cracks Mininkoph with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Mininkoph feints and as Peterman raises his hands in defense, Mininkoph changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Mininkoph scoring with some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mininkoph seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Mininkoph works a leg free and moves into half guard. Peterman has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Mininkoph escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Mininkoph! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mininkoph looks up at the clock and then as Peterman takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Mininkoph smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Boba Mininkoph dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Mininkoph dives in and scores a takedown into Peterman's guard. Peterman is working an open guard so Mininkoph takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Mininkoph throws a sloppy head kick and Peterman moves out of range easily. Mininkoph closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Peterman did well to prevent Mininkoph getting side control. Mininkoph lands with a punch from half guard. Peterman is trying to stand back up but Mininkoph is controlling him
Mininkoph looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Mininkoph works his foot free and advances to mount. Mininkoph is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Peterman is forced to tap! Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Boba Mininkoph!
