Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Azizmullah Khabukthakar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolai Crushkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crushkin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Arcturus - Ad Absurdum. Nikolai Crushkin will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Azizmullah Khabukthakar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nikolai Crushkin! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.

and Crushkin counters with a head kick that drops Khabukthakar to the mat! Khabukthakar scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Crushkin throws a body kick the misses
and Khabukthakar counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Khabukthakar has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Khabukthakar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Khabukthakar is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Crushkin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Crushkin has escaped and now he's on top!

Crushkin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Crushkin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Crushkin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Khabukthakar utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Crushkin lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Khabukthakar looking for a sweep. Not yet Khabukthakar, not yet. Crushkin trying to control but Khabukthakar is working from the bottom.

Crushkin gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Crushkin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Khabukthakar tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Khabukthakar shoots in but no luck this time. Crushkin misses with a wild combination.
Khabukthakar defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Crushkin.

Crushkin throws a sloppy head kick and Khabukthakar moves out of range easily. Crushkin throws a nice looking combination but Khabukthakar bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Crushkin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Khabukthakar paws at him with a jab and circles away. Crushkin throws a head kick that misses. Khabukthakar avoids the head kick by Crushkin.
Khabukthakar bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Crushkin regains half guard. Crushkin desperately trying to maintain half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Crushkin is looking to stand up but Khabukthakar isn't so interested in that idea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nikolai Crushkin dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Crushkin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Khabukthakar moves in looking to clinch but Crushkin pushes him off. Nikolai Crushkin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Crushkin tries for a takedown but Khabukthakar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Crushkin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Crushkin throws a left and a right that both miss
and Khabukthakar counters by moving into the clinch. Crushkin is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Khabukthakar pulls him back up using the underhooks. A quick uppercut on the inside from Crushkin. Khabukthakar with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Khabukthakar looking to throw knees to the head but Crushkin is blocking nicely.
Crushkin tries to score a body lock takedown but Khabukthakar shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Azizmullah Khabukthakar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nikolai Crushkin.
Crushkin manages to break the clinch.
Khabukthakar throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Crushkin was covering up waiting for the punch and Khabukthakar finishes the takedown easily into guard. Khabukthakar throwing strikes from guard but Crushkin blocks nicely. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Khabukthakar has gone for a leg lock! Crushkin slips out almost immediately though and dives into Khabukthakar's guard. Khabukthakar can't keep his opponent in guard - Crushkin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Khabukthakar has hold of Crushkin's hands but Crushkin slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Crushkin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Khabukthakar defends it well.

Khabukthakar tries to roll over but Crushkin keeps him under control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Khabukthakar looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Crushkin is keen to just control but Khabukthakar is a slippery customer.
Crushkin is trying for a kimura here. Khabukthakar looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Crushkin wins by kimura!
