Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sasha Lakovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Alb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peter Alb will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sasha Lakovic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Alb!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Emerson Jorge and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alb moves out of range as Lakovic strikes.
Lakovic looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Alb looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Alb tries a head kick but it misses.
Alb throws a low kick but Lakovic moves out of range easily.
Alb scores with a jab.
Lakovic throws a hook but Alb avoids it easily.
Alb throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Alb scores with a kick to the midsection.
Alb throws a head kick but Lakovic moves out of range.
Peter Alb seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alb thows a body shot but no joy.
Alb uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lakovic.

Lakovic looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Alb jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Alb lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lakovic has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lakovic and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Peter Alb is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lakovic lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Alb throws a jab but it's blocked by Lakovic.

and Lakovic counters with a good low kick that Alb was not able to check.

Lakovic drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Alb dodges the ground and pound from Lakovic.

Alb is not content to let Lakovic control the position.
Lakovic throws a strike aimed at the side of Alb's head but Alb avoids it well.

Lakovic is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Alb has escaped the position, nice work there.
Alb is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Lakovic fails to land a wild elbow strike.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Alb can do anything to dispel that myth.
Lakovic misses with the ground and pound.
Lakovic throwing strikes but missing, from side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lakovic slows the pace down.
Lakovic creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Alb sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Lakovic sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Alb is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Alb can't do much from the bottom here.
Lakovic is looking to take a break and control but Alb is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Peter Alb will probably get the nod.

Lakovic is trying hard to land a takedown here. Alb sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Lakovic uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Alb has time to react.
Alb bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Alb feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Lakovic's calf.
Lakovic takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Alb tries a head kick but it misses.
Alb lands a nice looking kick to the body. Lakovic takes a step back to recover.
Lakovic blocks the body kick.
Alb wants to slow Lakovic down by chopping away at his legs.

Alb throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That kick from Alb tenderised Lakovic's leg. Lakovic is trying to keep his angry face on.
Lakovic throws a jab but it's blocked by Alb.
Lakovic throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Alb displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lakovic throws out the jab.
Lakovic takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Alb throws a sloppy head kick and Lakovic moves out of range easily.
Lakovic on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lakovic throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Alb avoids a punch combination nicely.
Alb tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Alb looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Lakovic slips under a jab from Alb.
Lakovic avoids the head kick by Alb.
Alb misses with a kick to the body.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Alb throws a low kick but Lakovic moves out of range easily.
Lakovic scores with a sloppy right hand. Alb should have avoided that one.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lakovic throws a lazy uppercut
and Alb counters with a nice body kick.
Alb misses with an uppercut
and Lakovic counters with a right hand to the body.
Lakovic shoots in but Alb avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lakovic takes one to the chin there.
Lakovic misses with the body kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Alb throws a sloppy head kick and Lakovic moves out of range easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Alb throws a hook to the side of Lakovic's head but Lakovic sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lakovic thows a body shot but no joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter Alb showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Lakovic's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Alb lands with a kick to the temple. Lakovic shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Lakovic slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Alb ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lakovic moves away.
Alb lands a nice leg kick that just misses Lakovic's sensitive parts.
Alb misses with a head kick.
Alb throws a push kick but Lakovic slaps the foot to one side.
Alb swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

A low kick from Lakovic is predictable there
and Alb counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lakovic thinking.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Alb misses with a low kick.
Alb throws a push kick but Lakovic slaps the foot to one side.

Alb connects with a right hand. Lakovic shakes it off.
Alb throws a looping overhand right but Lakovic ducks down to avoid it.
A bone on bone clash there as Lakovic blocks the leg kick.

Alb will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Peter Alb seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Lakovic avoids the head kick by Alb.
Lakovic stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Alb.
Lakovic tries to score a power double leg takedown but Alb sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lakovic somewhat.

and Alb counters with a head kick. That will keep Lakovic thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Peter Alb comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Alb winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
