Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Wacek Pierdzialowski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Tempest! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pierdzialowski avoids the head kick by Tempest.
Tempest shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Pierdzialowski counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Tempest can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pierdzialowski controls the pace. Pierdzialowski drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tempest dives on top into guard. Pierdzialowski seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tempest stopping the sweep attempt from Pierdzialowski. Tempest postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pierdzialowski looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tempest is one step ahead there. Tempest has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pierdzialowski is proving hard to escape from.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Tempest throws a sloppy head kick and Pierdzialowski moves out of range easily. Tempest tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Tempest misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tempest with a lazy takedown attempt and Pierdzialowski counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Pierdzialowski. Pierdzialowski wants to control from the top but Tempest keeps moving. Pierdzialowski is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Wacek Pierdzialowski. Tempest misses with a takedown and Pierdzialowski decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tempest's guard. Wacek Pierdzialowski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Tempest. Pierdzialowski is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tempest is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tempest has escaped and now he's on top! Tempest thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Pierdzialowski could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Pierdzialowski has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Tempest looking to sit in guard and control but Pierdzialowski gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Tempest doesn't succeed with the takedown and Pierdzialowski counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Pierdzialowski looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Pierdzialowski looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Wacek Pierdzialowski overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pierdzialowski is working for a kimura here but Tempest manages to reverse the position and he's now in Pierdzialowski's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Pierdzialowski preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Tempest wants to stand but Pierdzialowski has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Tempest loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Pierdzialowski has control of Tempest's left arm, preventing Tempest from doing any damage. Tempest throwing strikes but missing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pierdzialowski pulls Tempest in to control the position. Tempest throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pierdzialowski works some decent striking defense from the bottom. That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Tempest tries to free his leg and advance position but Pierdzialowski is retaining full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Tempest drives through and clinches with Pierdzialowski against the cage.

Pierdzialowski has Tempest pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Pierdzialowski pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Tempest tumbling to the mat - Pierdzialowski dives into Tempest's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. And that's the end of the fight! Wacek Pierdzialowski showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pierdzialowski, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
