Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alexander Belkov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hideki Nakanoi! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belkov is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Nakanoi has taken the fight to the clinch.
A short right from Nakanoi on the inside. Belkov can't break the clinch.
Nakanoi lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Nakanoi creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. A head punch blocked on the inside by Nakanoi. Nakanoi lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Nakanoi holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Belkov looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Belkov using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Nakanoi has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Nakanoi looking for a takedown. Nakanoi keeps control of Belkov as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Belkov is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Belkov lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Belkov is trying to break the clinch but Nakanoi is controlling him. Belkov lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Nakanoi backwards. Belkov tries to circle away but Nakanoi has him pinned against the cage. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Belkov tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Nakanoi ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Nakanoi no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Belkov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nakanoi is on top in guard.
Nakanoi decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Belkov, up you get!
That's one minute gone in the round. Belkov scores with a sloppy right hand. Nakanoi should have avoided that one. Belkov throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Nakanoi on the side of the head. Nakanoi shoots in and drives through. Belkov sprawls well. Nakanoi drives through and clinches with Belkov against the cage.

Nakanoi closes the distance and clinches. Belkov has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Belkov is trying to push Nakanoi away but Nakanoi has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Belkov has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Nakanoi stalling the fight.
Nakanoi softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Nakanoi keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Belkov's efforts to push away. Belkov tries to circle away but Nakanoi has him pinned against the cage. Nakanoi's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Belkov wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Belkov. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Nakanoi as Belkov tries to tie him up. Nakanoi lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
It looks like Alexander Belkov has been cut. With the fighters up against the cage, Nakanoi throws an elbow but misses. Nakanoi comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Belkov is rocked! Nakanoi has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Belkov - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Nakanoi, and another! Belkov is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Hideki Nakanoi!
