Petri is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Crimson Stallion. Ian is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ian blocks a head kick by Petri.
Ian looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Petri moves into the clinch.
Petri tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Petri tries to pull guard but Ian holds him up against the ropes and eventually Petri drops back down to his feet.
Petri drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ian gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Scott Ian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Petri.
Ian pushes off an throws an elbow but Petri leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.
With the fighters up against the ropes, Ian throws an elbow but misses.
Petri fails to pull guard.

Petri jumps into guard, dragging Ian to the mat.
Petri controls Ian momentarily but Ian frees himself.
Petri manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Petri quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Petri but it's paid off an Ian is forced to tap! Nice work by Petri.
