Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gomer Pyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magnus Ahriman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pyle comes to the cage accompanied by The Marines' Hymn. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gomer Pyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Magnus Ahriman!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Pyle digs a right hand underneath Ahriman's ribcage. Ahriman let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Pyle lands a hook that snaps the head of Ahriman backwards.
Knees in the clinch landing for Ahriman.
Ahriman tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Ahriman misses with a punch on the inside.
Pyle lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Pyle drags the fight down to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ahriman avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Pyle lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ahriman!

Ahriman is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Ahriman is looking to improve his position but Pyle isn't that keen on the idea.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Pyle is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ahriman can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pyle sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Ahriman is in a horrible position here. Pyle smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Ahriman bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Ahriman wants to control from the top but Pyle keeps moving.

Pyle manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ahriman manages to get himself to full guard.

Pyle throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ahriman's waist but Ahriman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pyle off to one side.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pyle is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Ahriman is keeping busy.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ahriman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
