Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Led Zeppelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maddy Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zeppelin comes to the cage accompanied by One 24. Led Zeppelin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Led Zeppelin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Maddy Rock!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rock misses with a two punch combination.
Rock looks to land a right hand but Zeppelin moved out of range.
Rock gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Zeppelin counters with a body kick.
Rock turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Rock misses with a head kick.
Rock moves out of range of the body kick from Zeppelin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A shot to the body from Rock misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Zeppelin takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
No joy there for Rock, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Zeppelin tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Rock counters with a straight right hand.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rock. Zeppelin does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rock throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Zeppelin counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Zeppelin thows a leg kick but Rock checks it
enabling Rock to counter with a crisp jab.
Rock will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Zeppelin lands with a kick to the ribs.

Rock misses with a series of wild punches.
Rock misses with a jab to the body
and Zeppelin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Rock misses with a looping left.
Rock throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Rock jabs Zeppelin to the body, keeping him at a distance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zeppelin connects with an inside leg kick.

Zeppelin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rock.
Rock punishes Zeppelin's body with a nice straight punch.
Zeppelin ducks under a wild hook from Rock.
Nice body punch from Rock.
Zeppelin walks into a jab.
Rock fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Zeppelin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Zeppelin has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Rock.

Decent striking displayed by Rock there.
Zeppelin with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Rock to score with a decent uppercut.
Rock lands a two punch combo.
A nice leg kick lands there from Zeppelin.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
A head kick by Rock misses
and Zeppelin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rock throws a body kick the misses
and Zeppelin counters with a nice kick to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Led Zeppelin dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Rock throws a head kick that misses
and Zeppelin counters with a nice leg kick.
Zeppelin throws a half hearted mid kick.
Zeppelin tries to land a front kick but Rock steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Zeppelin looks to clinch
and Rock counters with a slapping leg kick.
Rock throws out a loose jab but Zeppelin uses good head movement to avoid it.
Zeppelin shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Rock throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Zeppelin gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Zeppelin is looking to chop away at Rock's legs.
Zeppelin moves out of range as Rock throws a body kick.
A jab from Rock misses.
Rock checks a leg kick nicely.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Rock lands with an overhand left.
Zeppelin tries a head kick but it misses.
Rock throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Rock misses with a hook. Zeppelin ducked under it nicely.
Rock pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rock connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Zeppelin misses with a double jab
and Rock counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Zeppelin misses with a looping left.
Zeppelin closes the distance but Rock moves to the side
and Rock counters with a left and a right that stings Zeppelin.
Rock turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
A big left from Zeppelin misses.
Rock looks to land a right hand but Zeppelin moved out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Zeppelin cracks Rock with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
The fighters circling - Rock throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Rock waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Zeppelin.
Zeppelin scores with a nice body kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rock. Zeppelin does a little dance to reset his feet.
Zeppelin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Maddy Rock will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Rock throws a hook to the side of Zeppelin's head but Zeppelin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Rock counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Zeppelin throws a head kick that misses.
Rock keeps the fight on the outside.
Led Zeppelin is winning the standup battle so far.

Rock throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rock misses with a hook to the body
and Zeppelin counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Rock makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rock checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Rock throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Zeppelin jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Rock misses the body punch
and Zeppelin counters with a right hand to the body.
Rock takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Rock misses with a lunging right hand
and Zeppelin makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Rock really felt that one!

Rock throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Zeppelin avoids the head kick by Rock.
Rock just misses with a punch to the body.
A right-left combo lands from Zeppelin.
Zeppelin takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Rock throws a sloppy head kick and Zeppelin moves out of range easily.
Zeppelin tries to clinch up
and Rock counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rock misses with a right hand
and Zeppelin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rock takes one on the button.
Zeppelin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Zeppelin lands a jab to the nose.

And that's the end of the fight!
Led Zeppelin showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Zeppelin has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
