Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kendall Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chan Sung Jung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jung doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Alves cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Alves counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kendall Alves has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chan Sung Jung.

Alves jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jung manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jung is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Alves can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Jung tries to pass the half guard into mount. Alves knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chan Sung Jung showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Alves moves out of range of the leg kick from Jung.

Jung shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Alves manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Alves throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Jung escapes and throws Alves's legs to the side, diving into side control!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Chan Sung Jung hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

and Alves makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Jung walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Alves checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
