Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hector Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Godric Jensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Alves with a poor takedown
and Jensen counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Alves shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jensen sprawls well. Jensen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Alves gets slowly back to his feet.
Jensen looks to score with a jab to the body but Alves is just out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jensen throws a lazy right hand but Alves sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Alves closes the distance and clinches up with Jensen, looking for a takedown. Alves pushes Jensen against the cage but Jensen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Alves ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Alves shoots in and drives through. Jensen sprawls well.
Alves fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jensen to the ground. Alves is now in Jensen's guard.

Alves postures up in Jensen's guard and throws a big left but Jensen blocks it.

Alves wants to control from the top but Jensen keeps moving.
Alves drops back looking for a leg! Jensen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jensen manages to kick Alves off! Alves jumps back into Jensen's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jensen is squirming around, avoiding Alves's attempts to control the action.
Alves working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Jensen looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Alves! Submission of the night perhaps?
