Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Piotr Nowak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gennady Vieira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nowak comes into the arena with Firma - Ogień w Sercu blaring out of the sound system. Gennady Vieira is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nowak slaps away a takedown attempt from Vieira, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Vieira clinches up with Nowak and pushes him back against the cage.
Nowak is looking to break free of the clinch but Vieira has double underhooks.
Nowak tries to break free but Vieira pushes him back against the cage.
Nowak wants to get back to striking at distance but Vieira won't allow it.
A frustrated look appears on Nowak's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Vieira will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Nowak up against the cage.
Vieira has Nowak pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Vieira pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Nowak tumbling to the mat - Vieira dives into Nowak's guard.
Nowak is looking to stand up but Vieira isn't so interested in that idea.
Vieira is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vieira misses with a takedown attempt - Nowak sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Nowak is breathing heavily.
Vieira jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nowak walks away with a smile on his face. Vieira gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Vieira gets to his feet - Nowak follows without any prompting.
Vieira drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Vieira stands up and beckons Nowak to his feet.

Vieira clinches up with Nowak and pushes him back against the cage.
Vieira fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Vieira pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nowak looks for the body kick but Vieira saw that one coming.
Nowak falls off balance throwing a combination
and Vieira counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nowak utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Vieira advances position into side control!
Vieira tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vieira has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vieira advances to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Horrible takedown by Vieira or perhaps it was just good defense by Nowak which made him look bad.

and Vieira counters by clinching up.
Vieira is working for takedown but Nowak is calmly controlling the position for now.
Nowak tries to circle away but Vieira has him pinned against the cage.
Vieira tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Vieira lands an elbow just above Nowak 's eye.
Vieira's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Gennady Vieira has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Vieira shoots in looking for a takedown but Nowak manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Vieira's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Vieira gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Nowak is trying to break free.
Vieira lands a shoulder strike.
Nowak has had enough of the clinch but Vieira keeps him there for the moment.
Vieira has Nowak pressed against the cage.
Vieira fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Vieira lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Nowak!

Piotr Nowak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nowak throws a solid leg kick but Vieira takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Nowak.
Vieira fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vieira is defended easily by Nowak.

Vieira rushes Nowak and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Vieira ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Vieira no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Nowak has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Vieira is proving hard to escape from.

Vieira moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Vieira fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Vieira throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nowak's waist but Nowak gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vieira off to one side.
Vieira shoots in for a takedown but Nowak shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Vieira obliges.

Vieira gets control of Nowak's arms and successfully pulls guard. Vieira will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Vieira bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nowak's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vieira wants to pass to mount but Nowak is defending the position.
Vieira is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Nowak!
Vieira is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Vieira!
