The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Reed Andrews and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bashir misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bashir dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gonzalez fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gonzalez slips under a jab from Bashir.
Bashir leaves Gonzalez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bashir throws a combination. Gonzalez tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Gonzalez doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bashir counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Julian Bashir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Helio Gonzalez.
Gonzalez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bashir sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gonzalez somewhat.

Bashir throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bashir lands a left and a right that send Gonzalez crashing to the mat, dazed. Bashir thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Gonzalez is rocked!

Bashir connects with a nice cross there... Gonzalez is looking wobbly and Bashir recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Gonzalez to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Bashir jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
