Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cosas Muy Malas!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jogues misses with a combination

and Muy Malas counters with a shoot takedown. Jogues fights it but they end up in guard.
Muy Malas wants to control from the top but Jogues keeps moving.

Jogues might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Cosas Muy Malas hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

and Muy Malas connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Muy Malas shoots in looking for a takedown. Jogues tries to sprawl out of it but Muy Malas keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jogues manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Muy Malas tries to close the distance and clinch but Jogues swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Muy Malas counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

and Jogues makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
No luck for Muy Malas with that takedown attempt.

Muy Malas throws a strike but Jogues rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Muy Malas throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Jogues counters with a left to the body.
Isaac Jogues has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cosas Muy Malas.

Cosas Muy Malas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Cosas Muy Malas was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Muy Malas is looking for a kimura but Jogues is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Muy Malas to get the leverage.
Muy Malas content to control rather than advance.
