The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanches throws a big shot that misses.
A clash of legs there as Sanches blocks the low kick.
Puno scores with a three punch combo!
It looks like Renato Sanches has been cut.
Puno ducks under a wild hook from Sanches.
Sanches throws a poor cross that misses
and Puno counters with a solid body kick.
Good exchange - Sanches coming out on top.
No luck for Puno with that takedown attempt.
Sanches moves into range and connects with a jab.
Sanches throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sanches on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sanches fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Puno manages to avoid it.
Puno throws a low kick but it's checked well by Sanches.
Puno misses with a wild combination.
Sanches throws a right hand that misses
and Puno cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sanches misses with an uppercut
and Puno counters with a good, hard body kick but Sanches shrugs it off.
Renato Sanches seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanches uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sanches falls off balance throwing a combination
and Puno counters with a head kick that drops Sanches to the mat! Sanches scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

and Puno counters with a nice body shot.
Puno misses with a straight left.
Sanches misses with a left hand
and Puno counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Puno slips under a jab from Sanches.
Puno connects with a body shot that sends Sanches's belly button to the back.
Sanches is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sanches throws a predictable looking body shot
and Puno counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sanches thinking.
Puno scores with a leg kick.
Puno throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sanches tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Puno is in Sanches's guard.
Puno throws a big right hand that misses.
Puno has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Puno passes into half guard.
Puno is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Sanches is hurt! He's hurt bad - Puno fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Sanches from any more punishment! Congratulations to Puno! Great finish!
