Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steele's entrance music is Freak On A Leash. A fine choice. Williams has chosen Alice In Chains - Rooster as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Steele! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Randy Williams! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Dean Styles and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steele rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Williams counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Steele thinking. Steele misses with a leg kick. Williams fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Steele throws a sloppy head kick and Williams moves out of range easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Williams takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. A jab lands there for Steele. A good leg kick by Steele.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Williams jumps guard but Steele stands there with Williams around his waist. Williams gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Williams gets slowly back to his feet. Williams throws a body punch but Steele moves out of range. Steele misses with a body shot.
Williams shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Steele's guard. Williams loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Williams trying to control but Steele is working from the bottom. Williams controlling from the top position. Williams throws and elbow that misses. Steele uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Williams's guard. Nice move by Steele! Steele postures up.
Williams keeping moving, preventing Steele from controlling successfully. Steele wanted to stand there but Williams had control of the position. Williams is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Williams counters with a lovely straight right hand! Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Steele tries to clinch there but Williams circles away.
Williams shoots in but Steele avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Williams counters by clinching up. Steele scores with a hook to the body. Steele trying to land knees to the body.
Steele lands an elbow that stopped Williams in his tracks for a moment. Steele looking to throw knees to the head but Williams is blocking nicely.
Williams takes a shot to the head. Steele throws a head punch that misses. Williams has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Steele is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. George Steele has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randy Williams. Steele pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Williams fails to pull guard.
Steele is leaning against Williams and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Williams jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Steele walks away with a smile on his face. Williams gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Williams blocks a low kick nicely. and Steele counters with a nice leg kick. Williams is breathing heavily. Williams tries for a takedown but Steele circles away easily and Steele counters with a left to the body.

Steele scores with a nice head shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Steele dodges the punch combination from Williams.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steele moves into the clinch. Williams drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Williams as Steele tries to tie him up. A shot in the inside from Steele. Williams has Steele pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Williams pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Steele tumbling to the mat - Williams dives into Steele's guard. Williams postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Steele not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Steele is pulling down on Williams's head to control his posture. Steele is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Williams is controlling him. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Steele avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Williams has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Williams looking to pass the guard. Steele looking to hit a scissor sweep but Williams is one step ahead there. Steele trying to keep a closed guard but Williams is proving a slippery customer.

George Steele dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Williams keeps the fight on the outside. Williams tries to close the distance and clinch up but Steele swats him away and circles back towards the center. Steele fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Williams has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Williams gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Steele counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Williams throws a jab but it's blocked by Steele.

Williams shoots in looking for a takedown but Steele manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Williams's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A head kick by Steele misses and Williams counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Steele! Steele tries to hold on but Williams pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steele is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Williams is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Williams unloading with bombs! Steele is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Steele is looking to improve his position but Williams isn't that keen on the idea. Williams working away from the top, dropping strikes. Steele gets back to half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Williams not landing any meaningful shots this time. Steele is trying to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steele is trying to maintain the position but Williams is very close to passing his half guard. Williams trying to control the action but Steele is working from the bottom. Steele is looking to improve his position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Steele tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Steele lands a two punch combo.
Steele slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Steele misses with a hook
and Williams counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Williams shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Steele pinned against the cage. Steele gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. George Steele has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randy Williams. Williams fails with a takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but George Steele did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Steele goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Williams tries to clinch up but Steele circles away and keeps his distance. Williams tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Steele throws a combination that misses and Williams counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Steele scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Williams doesn't seem bothered though. Williams misses with a body shot
and Steele counters with a body kick. Steele moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

and Steele counters with a lovely straight right hand! Steele throws a right hand that Williams ducks under and follows up with a left that Williams also avoids with ease. Steele misses the body punch and Williams counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Williams throwing shots but Steele is blocking nicely. Steele is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Williams's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Williams's back! Steele trying to control momentarily.

Williams staying busy and making it hard for Steele to control. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Randy Williams has got the better of the ground game so far. Steele is hanging on to Williams's back as he tries to escape.
Williams has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Steele. Steele is trying to stick to Williams's back but Williams is turning into Steele. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Steele's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Williams. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Steele holds on and takes a little breather. Randy Williams has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Steele throws a sloppy head kick and Williams counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Steele clinches up with Williams and pushes him back against the cage. Williams tries to work over Steele's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Steele tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Williams scores with a shoulder strike. Williams tries to pull guard but Steele holds him up against the cage and eventually Williams drops back down to his feet.
Steele stalls. Williams lands a left hand that snaps the head of Steele backwards. Still in the clinch, Steele scores with a nice short uppercut. Williams letting Steele take a breather here. Steele lands an elbow that stopped Williams in his tracks for a moment. Williams misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Williams scores with a shot to the side of Steele's head. Steele pushes off an throws an elbow but Williams leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Williams works on Steele's body with a couple of short punches.
And that's the end of the fight! Randy Williams comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Steele has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
