Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Test SubMan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jed Rox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jed Rox will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Test SubMan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jed Rox!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Eddie Farnsworth and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rox lunges at SubMan with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by SubMan's hand.
SubMan checks a low kick from Rox.
Rox gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
SubMan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Rox working for a triangle but SubMan defends it easily.
SubMan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rox swivels though and keeps the full guard.
SubMan thows a big elbow that misses.
Rox is trying to control the position but SubMan postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rox is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
SubMan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rox's guard.

SubMan seems to be looking for submissions.
SubMan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Rox is looking for a sweep. SubMan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
SubMan is tying to control. Rox wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Rox is trying to get back to full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
SubMan ducks right into an uppercut from Rox.
Rox scores with a three punch combo!
Rox looks gassed!
Rox wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
SubMan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rox's guard.
Rox manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. SubMan manages to get himself to full guard.
Rox throwing strikes but missing.
Rox wants to control from the top but SubMan keeps moving.
Rox pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. SubMan is keeping the position for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rox wants to land a leg kick but SubMan is out of range.

Rox tries to buck SubMan off but SubMan is having none of it.
Rox pushes SubMan away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, SubMan gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Rox is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked SubMan off and has taken his back!

Rox tries to keep control of the position but SubMan is staying busy.

SubMan tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Rox goes for an armbar but SubMan turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from SubMan.
SubMan wants to control from the top but Rox keeps moving.
Rox working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from SubMan.
Rox is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Test SubMan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
SubMan stands and steps away. Rox gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Rox throws a head kick that SubMan semi-blocks.

SubMan on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rox. Rox obviously looking to wear him down.
Test SubMan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rox is breathing heavily.
Rox shoots and misses
and SubMan counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Test SubMan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jed Rox.
Rox is striking from the bottom but SubMan uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
SubMan frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
SubMan is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Rox has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
SubMan working for a submission but Rox is keeping him at bay.
Rox is trying to reverse the position but instead SubMan has taken his back - oops!
Rox is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get SubMan off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rox rolls, trying to escape but SubMan keeps control of the position.
SubMan tries to get the hooks in deep but Rox pushed the leg off.
Rox manages to reverse the position and now he's in SubMan's guard. Nice work there by Rox.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Test SubMan dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
SubMan shoots in looking for a takedown. Rox tries to sprawl out of it but SubMan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rox manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rox will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
SubMan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rox paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Rox lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Rox.
Rox punishes SubMan's body with a nice straight punch.
SubMan takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

and SubMan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rox's guard.
Rox controls SubMan momentarily but SubMan frees himself.

Rox has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but SubMan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
SubMan slows the pace down in half guard.
SubMan is trying to work for a kimura but Rox is defending well.
Rox is defending against the submission attempts here by SubMan.
Rox is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of SubMan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take SubMan's back!
SubMan looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Rox is persistently looking for the submission but SubMan is defending it well.
And that's the end of the fight!
Test SubMan showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for SubMan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
