Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bob Padilla! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcus Royster! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Padilla looks to land a combination. Royster sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Padilla gets tackled into the cage by Royster. Royster maintains the clinch. Padilla has a couple of punches blocked by Royster.
Padilla scores with an uppercut up the middle. Padilla swings wildly with an uppercut but Royster uses good head movement to avoid it. Padilla fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Royster blocks an uppercut.
Padilla misses with a hook from the clinch. A head punch on the inside from Padilla fails to land. Royster tries for a takedown but Padilla manages to get underhooks.

Padilla lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Royster backwards. Royster wants a takedown but no success here.
Padilla throws a head punch that misses. Padilla prevents the takedown attempt.
Bob Padilla has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Royster. Padilla can't find room to land a body shot as Royster controls the action.
Royster is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Padilla pulls him back up using the underhooks. Royster blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Royster has hold of one of Padilla's legs. Padilla is fighting the takedown attempt but Royster gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Royster is pushing down on Padilla's leg trying to pass to half guard. Padilla is fighting to maintain full guard but Royster has managed to sneak the leg through. Royster is looking for a kimura but Padilla is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Royster to get the leverage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Padilla throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Padilla misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Royster in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Padilla tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Royster!
