Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Francisco Franco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaxson Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Francisco Franco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jaxson Powers!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Bruno Lombardi and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franco looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Powers is fending him off so far but Franco persists. Nope, Powers circles away and we're back to standing.
Powers tries to close the distance and clinch but Franco swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Powers gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Franco scores with a nice hook to the head.
Franco gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Franco might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Powers has Franco pulled in close to control his posture.
Powers is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Powers is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Franco has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Powers looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Powers is looking to stand up but Franco isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Franco closes the distance looking to clinch
and Powers counters with a nice double leg into side control. Franco won't be happy with that.
A control attempt from Franco but he's now mounted!
Franco is trying desperately to improve position.
Powers postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Franco looks a forlorn figure.
Franco is squirming around, avoiding Powers's attempts to control the action.
Franco tries to reverse the position but Powers maintains control.

Franco tries to hold on but Powers pushes him away.
Powers tries to control but Franco wriggling away.
Franco is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Powers looking to control but Franco is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Powers lands a big elbow.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Powers counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Franco gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Powers lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Powers escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Franco throws a right and a left that both miss.
Franco slips a jab and a cross from Powers.
Franco clinches up with Powers and pushes him back against the cage.
Franco lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Powers breaks from the clinch.

Franco moves into range and clinches up with Powers.
Franco looking for a takedown.
Powers looking to stall.
Franco tries to score a body lock takedown but Powers shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Powers breaks from the clinch.
Powers throws a nice looking combination but Franco bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Franco takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Powers gets caught flat footed, as Franco shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Powers is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Powers is on top in guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Powers trying to control the position from guard on top but Franco is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Powers pushing down on Franco's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Powers is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Franco is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Powers is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Powers gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Francisco Franco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Franco circles away from the clinch attempt
and Franco connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Powers fails with an attempt to clinch.
Franco clinches but Powers breaks the clinch
and Powers counters with a shoot takedown. Franco fights it but they end up in guard.
Powers slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Powers wants to control from the top but Franco keeps moving.
Powers drops back looking for a leg! Franco is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Franco manages to kick Powers off! Powers jumps back into Franco's guard.
Franco knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Powers on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Powers missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jaxson Powers showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Powers tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Franco turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Powers is looking to regain half guard here but Franco keeps moving and retains side control.
Franco throws an elbow but Powers slips to the side and avoids it well.
Powers takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Powers is not content to let Franco control the position.
Franco tries to advance to mount but Powers instead regains half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Powers is not content to let Franco control the position.
Powers trying to control but Franco postures up.
Franco is looking to take a break and control but Powers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Powers is trying to stand up here but Franco is controlling him well.
Franco looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Powers with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Powers moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Powers working a defensive guard but Franco passes into half guard.
Powers wants to control but Franco is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Powers holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Powers is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Franco pulls his head out easily.
Powers is trying to stand.
Powers gets full guard.
Powers bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Franco's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Powers's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Powers connects with a couple of short punches.
Powers sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Franco's guard.
Franco punching from the bottom.
Franco makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Franco.
Powers keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Franco's head.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Francisco Franco.
I think Powers has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
