The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anichebe looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

and Payne counters with a three punch combo that has Anichebe backing up. Anichebe nods at Payne to acknowledge the strikes.
Anichebe throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Payne lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Payne gets caught flat footed, as Anichebe shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Anichebe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Payne has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Anichebe has managed to get both his arms back between Payne's legs - danger averted.
Payne is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Anichebe is aware though and is defending well.
Anichebe must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Payne wants to sweep but no luck.
Anichebe wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Payne's closed guard. He's half up but Payne has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Payne pivots and extends the arm, Anichebe falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Payne! Well done that man!
