Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Justin Rader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marvin De Leon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rader's entrance music is His Own Fight Video. A fine choice. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Justin Rader! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marvin De Leon! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rader lands a nice hook to De Leon's body. De Leon takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. De Leon shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. A slow jab from Rader misses its intended target. Rader misses with an uppercut. De Leon saw that one coming. Rader doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. De Leon lands a jab to Rader's midsection. Rader misses with a series of wild punches.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

and De Leon counters with a lovely straight right hand! The fighters circle momentarily. De Leon darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Rader cracks De Leon with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Rader throws a lazy uppercut
and De Leon counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Rader misses with a hook
and De Leon connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Rader takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

and Rader counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Rader misses with a left hand and De Leon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Rader swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Horrible takedown by Rader or perhaps it was just good defense by De Leon which made him look bad. Rader throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Rader bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Rader thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on De Leon if he has to take too many more of those.
Rader misses with a left hand and De Leon counters with a left to the body. De Leon walks into a left hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marvin De Leon dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Rader ducks right into an uppercut from De Leon. De Leon misses with a shot to the body and Rader counters with a stiff right hand. Rader tries to score a power double leg takedown but De Leon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rader somewhat. Rader tests De Leon's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Rader takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. De Leon moves away from the strike by Rader. De Leon misses with a left hand and Rader counters with a nice uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. De Leon takes a jab right on the kisser.

and De Leon makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. A combination from Rader does no damage. Rader throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

so Rader counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Rader working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Rader throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Rader trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Rader looking to sit in guard and control but De Leon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Rader looking to hit a scissor sweep but De Leon is one step ahead there.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Rader keeping moving, preventing De Leon from controlling successfully. De Leon drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and De Leon jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. De Leon slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. De Leon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rader is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. De Leon works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Rader is trying to get back to half guard.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Rader manages to work his way to half guard, despite De Leon's best efforts. Rader actively working from the bottom here. De Leon is keen to just control but Rader is a slippery customer. Rader has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. De Leon lands with a punch from half guard. De Leon takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. De Leon is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rader has managed to free his arm - good work. Rader is defending against the submission attempts here by De Leon.

De Leon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rader keeps working. Rader tries to roll over but De Leon keeps him under control. De Leon blocks the strikes from Rader.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rader looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Rader works his way to full guard. Good work. Rader has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but De Leon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Rader keeping moving, preventing De Leon from controlling successfully. De Leon forces his way into half guard. Rader might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Rader wants to improve his position but De Leon is controlling well.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. De Leon wants to pass the guard but Rader is defending well. Rader is not content to let De Leon control the position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Marvin De Leon hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Rader throws a hook but De Leon avoids it easily. Rader throws an off balance right hand

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rader accidentally thumps the mat.
