A fine choice. Iwasaki comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Soul II Soul - Back to Life kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Shigenori Iwasaki has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Gabriel Rodrigues's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigues dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Iwasaki. That did some damage!
Iwasaki cracks a nice hook into Rodrigues's ribs.

Rodrigues throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Iwasaki tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rodrigues is in Iwasaki's guard.
Rodrigues stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Iwasaki swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Iwasaki keeping moving, preventing Rodrigues from controlling successfully.
Rodrigues throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Iwasaki works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Rodrigues working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Iwasaki's head.
Iwasaki wants to get back to his feet but Rodrigues is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Rodrigues trying to control the position from guard on top but Iwasaki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Iwasaki wants to stand and escape but Rodrigues is having none of it.
Rodrigues throws a big right hand that misses.
Rodrigues tries to free his leg and advance position but Iwasaki is retaining full guard.
Iwasaki wants to stand up but Rodrigues is controlling him.
Iwasaki preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Rodrigues pushing down on Iwasaki's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Rodrigues maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Iwasaki could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Rodrigues has cracked it and Iwasaki is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Rodrigues!
