Horrible takedown by Simpson or perhaps it was just good defense by Hittaro which made him look bad.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Simpson.
Hittaro looks to move to half guard but instead Simpson has passed into mount! Damn!
Simpson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hittaro can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hittaro is looking to control Simpson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hittaro avoid being mounted?
Simpson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hittaro does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
